3D BIM Modeling at Pre Construction Stage: How BIM Companies in India Look At It

Posted by on Jan 17, 2018 in Construction | 0 comments

Your vision can never become reality if you’re not sure of the processes involved! The saying fits the best in the field of construction and engineering. A fine-looking and strongly built building erected sky-high is a visualisation of an aspiring mind while the complex and often hectic procedures and hard work done is the investment of a practical mind. The combination of both, that is, 3D BIM Modeling is one of the important means to achieve success in construction industry. What would this 3D model do? It helps create a virtual-like environment, one that would represent the construction and would be used as a resource or reference in the upcoming stages of the construction. According to the experts from various BIM companies in India, 3D BIM Modeling gives you the detailed insights and a brief idea of what tools are must-haves for efficient planning, designing, and construction procedures. Not only it acts as a blueprint of the building, 3D model establishes the communication amongst all involved in the planning and working of the pre-construction stage. These would include the subcontractors, designers, owners and several others. On scouring Internet, we found following most-talked about benefits of 3D modeling: Spatial and planning coordination Efficient modelling and energy analysis BIM could also assist and improve predictability of construction. Expect to cut down on errors drastically BIM could also help with an average or estimated cost savings of the project. Performance of the construction could be predicted. Assists with phasing and visual scheduling Helps with a strategic visual representation of the construction The model would also be able to tell you of the possible changes that could stem out from design before its construction. The 3D model is a good direction to have especially when it comes to pre-construction stage of a big project. Imagine working on a construction without a vision or a model to rely over- you certainly don’t want to risk it. Therefore, investing your time and resources in 3D modeling with any of the authorized and reliable BIM companies in India would be a good...

Safety Measures to Be Taken While Using Heavy Equipments

Posted by on Mar 14, 2015 in Cranes | 0 comments

Heavy equipments like cranes, loaders, Dozers, rollers and mixers are generally used on construction sites in lifting, rolling, concreting and mixing the construction materials. Thus, to carry out these tedious tasks one has to be well aware about know-how of the machines. “Precaution is better than cure” and “Safety is better than recklessness” both these axioms are true when we have to deal with heavy machineries. A good knowledge of machineries and an alert mind can prevent a massive loss through mishaps. Training Session – After renting or buying the machinery first and foremost undertaking should be to get a rigorous training session. An operator helps in accomplishing this training session. The entire training session takes place in the presence of an operator and includes manifestation by him, practice by the trainee and its assessment by the operator. Such training session should preferably be done on the same construction site where machinery has to be further used. Other susceptible measures “Do’s” – Be confident that machinery is well fitted and is working properly before taking it into the exact working area. Machinery showing danger sign or any negative mark should immediately be examined by experts. Use appropriate machinery for the approved job and keep an eye on the capacity of the machinery for doing the same job. Go through all the instructions carefully as mentioned by the manufacturing company and also instructed by your operator. Safety guards like helmets, hand gloves, light sensitive eye glasses and pressure resistive chest covers should be worn while operating heavy equipments. Carefully turn-off all the keys and switches after the use of machinery. “Don’t” – Never start the machinery without examining it. You should not remove any of the safety guards while using the machinery. By practicing aforesaid measures you can accomplish your task easily and...

The impact of construction industry to the overall economy

Posted by on Sep 19, 2014 in Road Construction | 0 comments

Construction industry is making an imperative contribution to the competitiveness and riches of the economy in India. A contemporary, competent infrastructure is considered as a key driver of productivity. The construction industry is playing a significant role in delivering the built infrastructure in an innovative and cost effective way. Firms throughout the economy are reliant on the recital of built infrastructure consisting of roads, rail, telecoms, and power stations. Therefore, the network remains ready for action, and in-house investors are considering the excellence of the built infrastructure as one of the key factors while considering location decisions. The productivity of our country India also depends on the competence and nature of the build environment. The mobility, flexibility, and effectiveness of the workforce and the output of firms depend on the availability of appropriately configured/located houses and premises. The blueprint, structure and operation of our built environment have other significant economic effects, say for example: on the rate at which, we use resources. Buildings are responsible for more or less; half of the country’s carbon emissions, half of our water utilization. It is estimated that about one third of our landfill waste and one quarter of all raw materials used in the economy. If you are doing a research in construction related subject field, you must know as to how important it has become for the growth of the overall economy. Construction is playing an essential role in our drive to endorse sustainable growth and development having its impact on the built environment.  This is the reason why it is important that we invest in the right people with the right and appropriate skills. This will make sure that this sector continues to optimistically affect the way we all live our lives day-to-day. There are operations which can also play considerable role in the successful delivery of a construction project. One of these is logistics.  It is sometimes considered a backroom function, but cannot be overlooked in terms of its contribution to the broad ‘upgrading’ and sustainability...

Dumpers – Simple vehicles that carry heavy loads

Posted by on Jul 23, 2014 in Concreting | 0 comments

When one is walking past a construction site the eyes witness an interesting diversity of heavy equipment. On the site one can find loaders, excavators, machines for lifting heavy items and other kinds of earth moving equipment. One of the most essential pieces of heavy machinery used on these sites is the dumper. And owning and maintaining a dumper is much easier than doing a research, writing a thesis, starting a software start-up and can be owned with 80% value financed. The dumper is not to be confused with the dump truck. They are different. It is the configuration that separates one from the other. The dumper is an open vehicle with four wheels to move it around. The driver sits behind the load skip. On the other hand, the dump truck can easily be identified by the cab that is built in front of the load. When one looks at the configuration of the dumper, they can instantly understand why the vehicle has been named such. The skip tips over to dump the load. These machines usually run on diesel. There are situations where normal wheels cannot ride smoothly on the terrain. In such cases, it is perfectly feasible to attach rubber wheels to the dumper and move it around. The earliest versions of these vehicles were quite simple and did not take a lot of training to operate. Of course, as time went by, technology caught up with the dumper and the machines become more complex. The earliest versions could not carry a lot of payload. However, modern day vehicles can take plenty of concrete, gravel or other things using multi-cylinder engines and expensive electronics. Bad quality dumpers have been known to cause many accidents on construction sites. That is why sellers and experts in the construction industry always stress on the need for buyers to not only buy high quality equipment, but also to make sure that the vehicle stays in good...

Buying from the same vendor

Posted by on May 22, 2014 in Maintenance | 0 comments

Many builders who are looking to buy construction equipment ideally want to make all their purchases from one vendor. They would prefer it if they did not have to run around from place to place looking for different pieces of equipment. Fortunately for these buyers there are now firms that offer all kinds of construction equipment in their inventory. The buyers can look through the items listed on the website of the firm and make their purchase. If they trust the quality of the vendor, they can rest assured in the knowledge that no matter what they buy from the vendor, it will be top...
